O aparecimento de pele seca, em particular na zona do rosto, e de um cabelo mais rebelde e sem vida é uma das consequências mais frequentes desta fase. A boa news é que estes sintomas podem ser mais controláveis, principalmente se olharmos para o nosso lifestyle.
A hidratação da pele é condicionada por diversos fatores, internos e externos e aqui a influência que um lifestyle desequilibrado (é seu caso? faça o teste aqui) pode exercer na hidratação natural da pele é enorme: afeta as funções orgânicas normais que a regulam.
Por exemplo, beber pelo menos 1 litro e meio de água por dia e comer quantidades adequadas de frutas e vegetais são hábitos fundamentais para garantir a quantidade certa de água também na pele do rosto. Além disso, a reposição de líquidos, se você é fisicamente ativa ou nos períodos do ano em que você transpira mais, é essencial para garantir que a pele tenha sua hidratação normal.
Ela está exposta a diversos fatores externos que podem favorecer a desidratação: na verdade, é uma das partes do nosso corpo mais “atacadas” de fora pelo frio intenso, calor excessivo, o ar ou mesmo um ambiente desprovido de umidade e outras condições climáticas e ambientais, juntamente com os raios ultravioleta, podem afetar o bem-estar e o grau de hidratação.
Por isso, preservar a película hidrolipídica natural que a reveste com cremes adequados evita a evaporação da água intrínseca, ou seja, aquela presente nas camadas mais profundas da pele, principalmente na região do rosto.
Os efeitos da perimenopausa na pele
Um papel fundamental no aumento da pele seca na menopausa é certamente desempenhado pelos hormônios e aqui o estrogênio pode ser considerado um verdadeiro hormônio anti-envelhecimento. Por isso que quando sua produção pelos ovários diminui na perimenopausa, a pele fica mais seca e fina e, conseqüentemente, mais delicada.
Aliás, a gente sabe que está chegando na perimenopausa pois começamos a sentir na pele episódios de rubor (vermelhidão da face) e aumento da secura, com notável redução da produção de sebo e aparecimento de rugas. Isso se deve em grande parte a uma diminuição do colágeno interno nas células.
Como a Ayurveda combate este problema ?
Existem vários remédios à base de ervas que o Ayurveda recomenda e aqui, mudar sua rotina de cuidados também pode melhorar seu lifestyle, sem significar que você tenha que gastar muito dinheiro. Semanalmente eu utilizo duas opções de tratamento ayurvédico para pele seca:
1. Abhyanga: Um dos tratamentos ayurvédicos mais importantes para a pele seca é esta automassagem do corpo com óleos que são aplicados diariamente. Os óleos de coco, amêndoa, gergelim ou rícino são excelentes óleos de massagem e aqui é melhor aquecer um pouco o óleo e depois massageá-lo na pele. Deixe por uma meia hora e depois tome um banho. Você também pode fazer isso duas vezes por semana.
2. Manutenção: Use ervas e alimentos que nutram a pele como por exemplo suco ou gel de aloe vera, camomila ou calêndula. Por exemplo, o Aloe Vera tem propriedades antifúngicas e antibacterianas e auxilia muitos tipos de problemas de pele causados por pele excessivamente seca, como coceira e erupções na pele.
Dicas do meu Lifestyle Yogico que ajudam a prevenir e tratar a pele seca:
- No banho, uso mais óleo: esta é uma das melhores formas de prevenir o ressecamento da pele. Lavo a pele com menos frequência com água quente, pois ela resseca a pele.
- Evito sabonetes que eliminam a oleosidade natural da pele: Após o banho, aplico óleo de coco em uma camada fina sobre a pele e, em seguida, enxugo com uma toalha macia
- Bebo bastante água: Essa é provavelmente a dica mais importante desta lista. Se o nosso corpo está geralmente sub-hidratado, ele não pode fornecer fluido suficiente para a pele. E nesse caso, é melhor beber água morna, sabia?
- Nutrição: É melhor comer vegetais e frutas com alto teor de água, como Abobrinhas, Pepinos, Melancia e Rabanetes. Uma receita deliciosa e hidratante e que de quebra ajuda a detoxificar? Te sugiro o que preparo no almoço aqui e no jantar aqui.
E qual atividade física fazer?
A Face Yoga, por exemplo, é reconhecida como uma alternativa natural (e gratuita) à medicina estética e pode servir como alternativa no tratamento às rugas, por exemplo. Claro, é preciso muita consistência e a sequência certa de exercícios, mas ela é uma grande aliada nesta fase e deveria ser constante na nossa rotina.
Demora muito pouco, em termos de tempo e esforço, para ver os resultados: em cerca de 10 dias eu consegui por exemplo minimizar todas as rugas ao redor dos olhos e boca. Meu conselho: o ideal é fazê-la antes de aplicar o skincare, assim os músculos são despertados, a microcirculação é ativada e o ativo encontrará as condições ideais para atuar.
